Compas Marine achieved a new standard of operational excellence after successfully passing the maritime authority’s inspection to become certified as an OSR (Oil Spill Response) company. During the exercise, the Maritime Works team and the Occupational Safety and Health Department demonstrated their response capabilities during a simulated oil spill drill. The exercise included the strategic deployment of booms, containment and recovery using skimmer equipment, and comprehensive waste management, ensuring at all times the physical safety of workers and the protection of the marine ecosystem.

Thanks to the professionalism displayed during the exercise and strict adherence to safety protocols, the Maritime Authority granted the company official approval. With this milestone, Compas Marine is now formally accredited to provide spill control services, consolidating its role as a leader in safe, responsible operations prepared to respond to environmental emergencies.
