Verdugo I Site Installation – Aquachile

The project’s design included two modules, each with 20 cages, installed parallel to each other and in a shared configuration, meaning they share the lateral moorings.

To carry out the installation, our teams receive the components delivered by the client and prepare the necessary material for assembling the mooring lines.

Then, the vessels are strategically positioned by geo-reference to lower the anchoring system, which in this case consisted of 20-ton concrete weights. The moorings are installed in accordance with the installation’s engineering design.

Once the initial mooring is installed, the metal structure of the cage rafts is positioned, after which all remaining moorings required are installed to ensure safe operation throughout the production cycle.

Throughout the process, inspection checks are carried out using subsea robotics, through which we ensure that the installation process complies with the standards requested by the client and those established in the regulations currently in force in our country.
